Annapurna sikles trek

Annapurna sikles trek takes you the second largest Gurung village in Nepal where you can know about the ethnic about their culture and traditions and Gurung are also known as there courage’s and bravery. This trekking is short trek with wonderful mountain views.  This route lies in west from Kathmandu and north from the Pokhara which is city of lake. A trek will be the great combination of awesome Gurung culture, wonderful traditional village life and the Himalayan panorama of the Annapurna range and as well as Mardi Himal. This trip will be able to witness first hand to their culture of the hilltop village, locally made handicraft and utensils. This trekking leads us to Annapurna Conservation project which is considered as the model village and is an integral part of their eco-route. The local cloth weaving and the ancient water driven watermills are another attraction of this villages.

Tara hill is the best view point of this region. A trek leads us to the thick rhododendron forest path to Ghalekharka to Sikles. There is a nice view point called raising Danda just a above from the village from where we can see the wonderful views of peaks of Annapurna 2 and Lamjung can be seen. The best time for this trekking is March and April and this time forest becomes so beautiful because this time is rhododendron blooming time.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

The representatives from Himalayan Scenery will welcome you at TIUA (Tribhuwan International University Airport) upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley

Take breakfast and around at 9:00 AM start to sightseeing point, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. Which is most popular Kathmandu Durbar square and Kumari temple, Patan Durbar Squer Krishna Mandir temple, Syoyembhunath Buddhist Temple, Boddhanath stupa One of the biggest stupa in the world and Pashupatinath Hindu Temple which is main shrine hindusim temple, After visit return to hotel and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Around 7/8 hours) by tourist bus or Private Van

After having breakfast in the morning today, we drive to Pokhara. It takes around 7 hours to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu by bus. You can also take the flight which take about 30 minutes and in the remaining time, take your time to explore the Pokhara city and Lakeside. We stay overnight at a guesthouse in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Bijaypur, and Trek to Kalikasthan (1370m) – 5 Hours

After breakfast trek to Kailashthan, we take a 30 minute drive to Bijaypur Khola, which is the starting point of our trek. Passing through the beautiful rice fields, our trail ascends to Rakhigaon. From Rakhigaon, we gently climb along the ridge top taking us eventually to the village of Kalikasthan mainly inhabited by Chhetri and Brahmin community. We stay overnight at homestay.

Day 05: Trek from Kalikasthan to Lamakhet (1680m) – 6 Hours

After breakfast trek to Lamkhet, we start gently passing through the local villages with mixed ethnic groups. We can witness some of the alluring rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. And from Mardi Khola, our trek is going to be easy as we are walking along the riverbank. We, en route have to pass through Bhaise and Nawaldanda to reach Lamakhet. Well, Lamakhet it is small settlement with all green hills around. We stay overnight at homestay.

Day 06: Trek from Lamakhet to Siklis (1980m) – 6 Hours

After breakfast trek to siklis, our trek stretches at a flat level along the river bank until we reach Khilangaon. We then follow the path which is gently up at some distances and steeply up for some hours. We have to pass through Parju village from where we climb uphill to Siklis village. Siklis is one of the oldest and largest Gurung settlements in the country. Most of the people in the village serve in Indian Army and British Army. We stay overnight at home stay.

Day 07: Trek from Siklis to Forest Camp (2200m) – 5 Hours

After breakfast trek to forest camp and head towards Nyauli Kharka which is also known as Forest Camp. Our trail passes through the beautiful forests of rhododendron and oaks following the gentle ascent. After crossing some distance, we walk over the flat land. We make tented accommodation for the overnight stay.

Day 08: Trek from Forest Camp to Galegaon (2000m) – 5 Hours   

After breakfast we will trek to ghalegaun. We have to cross a pass during this trek and then have to descend steeply to reach Ghalegaon. Ghalegaon is a small settlement mainly inhabited by Gurung and Magar community. We stay overnight at home stay.

Day 09: Trek from Ghalegaon to Pokhara – 4 Hours

After breakfast trek to Pokhara the trail gently descends to Hyamgja at the elevation of 1070m. From Hyamngja, we board a vehicle to drive to Pokhara. We stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Drive Back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or Private van

From hotel to transfer tourist bus station or domestic airport depend on schedule. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can utilize your time for the last minute shopping or you can explore around the city. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Final International Departure

Transfer from hotel to International airport you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal and happy journey.
