Everest Three Pass Trek

Everest three pass treks is one of the adventure treks in the Everest region in Nepal which includes trekking on popular Everest trails while also discovering unique gems of the Khumbu region. It seems like everyone wants to take the fast journey to and from Everest Base camp. This is not only like a trek but it will be your one of the finest mountain journey you are ever likely to undertaken in your lifetime. The major attraction of this trek are Renjo La pass (5360m), Chola-La pass (5420m), Kongma-La Pass (5535m) and other highlight such as Gokyo Ri, Fifth Lake, Kalapather and Everest Base Camp. This route also introduces trekkers to the remote and untouched Nangpa la valley which is the Sherpa village of Marlung and the monastery village of Thame. Each of these passes offers you views of not only Mt. Everest, but over 50 snowcapped peaks.

Everest three pass treks offers panoramic views of Cho Oyo, Mount Everest, Cholatse and many more Himalayan. The three high passes trek starts at lukla which climb up to the Sherpa capital of Namche. This route goes through nestled on hillsides or in lush green valleys; they are built of native stone and are very colorful. The local people and the Everest National park hotel have managed the good trekker lodge or tea house. For these trekking one trekker should be physically fit and possess tremendous passion towards exploring the best of Himalayan nature and culture can join this trip. The best month for trekking in this region is March to June and September to November. Kongma la pass is the highest passes in this three passes and the view are excellent from the top of Kongma la pass. We will take you through dense mountain jungles of rhododendron, pine and birch in the lower elevation.

Day 13: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (5000m): 16km, 7-8 hours
Day 14: Trek from Zongla – Cho la pass (5420m) Thannak (4790m) 7-8 hour
Day 15: Trek from Thannak to Gokyo (4750m) – 4 Hours
Day 16: Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La Pass (5360m/17585 ft): 11km, 7 – 8 hours
Day 17: Marlung to Namche Bazaar: 15km, 5 – 6 hours
Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 – 7 hours

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

The representatives from Himalayan Scenery will welcome you at TIUA (Tribhuwan International University Airport) upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley

Take breakfast and around at 9:00 AM start to sightseeing point, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. Which is most popular Kathmandu Durbar square and Kumari temple, Patan Durbar Squer Krishna Mandir temple, Syoyembhunath Buddhist Temple, Boddhanath stupa One of the biggest stupa in the world and Pashupatinath Hindu Temple which is main shrine hindusim temple, After visit return to hotel and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 - 4 hours trek

Early morning transfer to Domestic airport depends on flight schedules and timing, 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to lukla which is most popular Danger list of world. And around 4 hour walk to Phakding stay overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast trek to Namche, beautiful Sherpa village passing on the and some suspensions bridges following the dudhkoshi river; when we reach at double high suspensions bridge if weather is perfect we will see some himalayan thamserku, Tabuche peak, kwande peak and some others peaks. After that bride continue couple hour uphill to reach at Namche. The namche is biggest Himalayan Sherpa village or City of Nepal. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

After breakfast start hike up to Everest View point and Sherpa Museum, from Namche to Everest view point takes an hour hike and will see many of Peaks as Mt. Everest (8848m) Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Tabuche, Thamserku, Kwande peak and other trekking peaks as well. After viewing visit to Admon Hillary builded by khumjung high school and take lunch in Khumjung slowly return to Namche. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours

After breakfast trek to Tenboche, the trail is most busy by local porters, trekkers and load carrying domestic Yaks those are usual up and down. Because porters and yaks are transport Everest base via Gokyo valley, spectacular scenery of khumbu region couple hour flat and down to Dudhkoshi River cross the bridge and tough trail to reach at Tenboche several hour uphill from fungi tenga. When we reach at tenboche we will visit to monastery, the monastery is very old and biggest monastery in khubu region stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast trek to dingboche it takes 5-6 hours following main everest base camp trail and pass to several Sherpa villages and suspensions bridges. We can see many of mountains from on the trail and slowly forward to Dingboche stay overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Dingboche: Acclimatization

Today Acclimatization day at Dingboche just hike up couple hour take photo graph and return to same lodge. Exploring day visit to Dingboche Village and enjoy with Himalayan scenery stay overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Dingboche to Chhukung (4750m) 3 hours

After breakfast trek to chhukum is short hike and following Chhukum khola which drop from Imja lake bottom of Island peak, Wonderful day trip to reach chhukum and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Cross to Kongma La pass (5535m/18,159ft), trek to Lobuche (4940m/16,210ft): 10km, 6 - 7 hours

Early morning teak heavy breakfast and also pack day lunch piece of toast, Boiled Egg, Chease and normal drinking water between lobuche and Chhukum. Because nothing to eat and tough day and high passes kongma la which is elevation of (5535m). Check first weather otherwise risky area of khumbu region. Continue to lobuche join EBC trail stay overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Dinboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 4km, 2 - 4 hours

After breakfast trek to Lobuche take about 5-6 hour, the scenery is most beautiful and slowly to flowing the others trekkers because we already entered high altitude, the most important thing is Acute mountain sickness will get on after 4000m above the sea level. Therefore we have together on the way and help each other encase if anything happens. Before thukla the trail is normal and after that continues uphill to reach at Lobuche and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 9-10 hours

Early morning take cup of tea or coffee and continue to Gorakshep take accommodation and breakfast. If walking speed is normal we must take some day pack lunch to EBC. Because gorakshep to Everest base camp is 5-6 hour up and down, the trails most rocky and tough day but when we reach at EBC our main target is complete what you wish or your propose achieve your adventure top of the world;  After that return to same way and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 13: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (5000m): 16km, 7-8 hours

Early morning depend on weather or depend on season hike up to Kalapathar peak which is highest peak Everest Base Camp Trek, the elevation of (5545m.) Panoramic View round area and sunrise as well but very cold cannot sit long time very strong windy take lots of pictures or video how much longer stay depend on trekkers. Then return to Gorakhep take breakfast and continue to Zong la stay overnight at lodge.

Day 14: Trek from Zongla – Cho la pass (5420m) Thannak (4790m) 7-8 hour

After breakfast trek to Thannak, the trail is moderate and adventure high passes to compare others passes trekking route in Nepal, most of the path is rocky and snow ice slide to reach on Cho la top. Depend on weather. Before we pass we have take some info from Lobuche or Zong la because if weather bad then do not try because trail is most risky and adventures. If weather condition is normal then can try and following others trekkers foot print, during the day we have to take some day pack lunch as slice of toast, boiled Egg, piece of Cheese and Normal water. And continue to Thannak stay overnight at lodge.

Day 15: Trek from Thannak to Gokyo (4750m) - 4 Hours

After breakfast trek to Gokyo is short hike, but trail is most path rocky and glacie, the scenery is excellent view of Cho yu and Others Peaks. It takes 3-4 hour journey to reach at Gokyo lake stay overnight at lodge.

Day 16: Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La Pass (5360m/17585 ft): 11km, 7 - 8 hours

Early morning leave just take drinking water and piece of chocolate bar to top of the gokyo ri (5357m) the gokyo ri is also one of best views of khumbu region compare other destination of Nepal. From top of the gokyo Ri can see many Peak above over 8000m from sea level which is Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Yu, Makalu, Boruntse and Many of Trekking Peaks. After that return to Gokyo Lake take breakfast and continue to another high pass Renjo la elevation of (5360m) the last highest pass tough rocky and snow glacier trails, We need to joint with group because depend on whether otherwise risky area of khumbu region, if all team area fit for health then we can continue to Renjo la pass and marlung.   Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 17: Marlung to Namche Bazaar: 15km, 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast continue to Namche take 6-7 hours, between namche and marlung must pass several local Sherpa villages and ever green vegetation of thame area and some of old Buddhist monastery forward to reach at Namche. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours

After breakfast continue to Lukla same way following until lukla and celebrate with our team to say good bye to all porters or staff and preparation flight to Next day  to Kathmandu and stay  overnight at lodge.

Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu 30 minute

Depend of flight schedule if late flight take breakfast and little walk to airport otherwise must leave earlier from lodge. It takes 30 minutes journey. And Explore day in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 20: Final International Departure

Transfer from hotel to International airport you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal and happy journey.
