Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek
Jiri to Everest base camp trek route is still used by porters and pick animals but fewer trekkers than lukla to Everest base camp. The trek is a less common way to reach the base camp of the world tallest mountain. This trekking concentration of many sky-piercing peaks including Everest, turquoise glacial lakes, deep gorges, glaciers, torrential rivers and fountains. A trek to this base camp fascinates awes, humbles, fires your fancies and soar your imagination for days and days. This trek follows the traditional route taken by the early Everest expatiation and still serves as main artery to the road less Sagarmatha region. The Sherpa people formally from Tibet, live chiefly in the Solu region along the Dudh Koshi River and the khumbu region above lukla. Our trip begins in Kathmandu and we will visits to the UNESCO world heritages sites. We also get well acclimatized to room freely in highly altitude in the vicinity of base camp if you start your trek from Jiri.
Jiri to Everest base camp trek is a classical Everest adventurous that includes the walk to Everest base camp from Jiri. Besides bringing you the charm of unspoiled rural life and the original settlement of legendary Sherpa are along the trails. According to their oral history Sherpa migrated to high valley south of Mt Everest from eastern Tibet. The trail begins at an altitude of 1800m and crosses many ridges dropping low to river at around 1500m and ascending passes over 300m. The best season for this trekking is March to June and September to November. Trekking through the Sherpa villages we share many of their hearths and enjoy their generous hospitality. The trail passes through beautifully terraced farmland, forests and classic middle hill countryside and offers simple amenities and ample time to acclimatize while encountering the culture, customs and lifestyle of the friendly and hospitable Hindu and Buddhist communities.

Day 03: Trek to Deurali (2500m) 06 -7 hrs
Day 04: Trek to Sete (2575m) 6 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Junbesi (2,675m) – 06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Nunthala (2,190 m) – 0 7 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Bupsa Danda (2250m) 06 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Payoo (2795m) – 06 hrs.
Day 10: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 – 6 hours
Day 11: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours
Day 13: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 – 6 hours
Day 14: Dingboche: Acclimatization
Day 15: Dinboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 4km, 2 – 4 hours
Day 16: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 9-10 hours
Day 17: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours
Day 18: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 – 7 hours
Day 19: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 – 7 hours
Day 20: Fly to Kathmandu 30 minute
Day 21: Final International departure
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
The representatives from Himalayan Scenery will welcome you at TIUA (Tribhuwan International University Airport) upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley
Take breakfast and around at 9:00 AM start to sightseeing point, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. Which is most popular Kathmandu Durbar square and Kumari temple, Patan Durbar Squer Krishna Mandir temple, Syoyembhunath Buddhist Temple, Boddhanath stupa One of the biggest stupa in the world and Pashupatinath Hindu Temple which is main shrine hindusim temple, After visit return to hotel and stay overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Jiri 1,900 m – 06 hrs journey
After breakfast drive to jiri, the jiri is located at East part of Nepal takes 6-7 hours tiny road, when we reach at jiri visit to Jirel Village and monastery and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Deurali (2500m) 06 -7 hrs
After breakfast trek to Deurali is most uphill and down lest local track because most local use tough road drive to bhandar or Salleri. But still nice to walk old trail follow the EBC trekking route. Wonderful trek to see many type of local village and Nepalese traditional with evergreen rice terrace stay overnight at lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Sete (2575m) - 6 hrs.
After breakfast descending to Kinja it is more than 1600 meter downhill take around 4 hours only downhill and takes lunch at kinja. The kinja is lower then jiri and sivalaya after that continue to climb up to reach at Sete stay overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Junbesi (2,675m) – 06 hrs.
After breakfast continue trek to Junbesi, today also thousand meter of uphill and couple hundred down to Junbesi. The trail is most area beautiful forest and little chilly and pass to lamjura and into oak forest drop to several Sherpa villages; Spectacular scenery of many type Himalayan range and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Nunthala (2,190 m) – 0 7 hrs.
After breakfast trek to Nunthala take atlist 7-8 hour pass by many Sherpa villages and Buddhist stupa and also monastery. The popular Apple garden in Ringmo which path of Selleri, the district headquarter of solukhumbu, Tough day up and down hill to reach Nunthala stay overnight at lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Bupsa Danda (2250m) - 07 hrs
After breakfast trek to Bupsa is pass by Kharikhola which is larges villages’ magar and Sherpa People. Before kharikhola has also larges community of Rai Villages juving. The trail is mostly down and uphill to reach at Bhupsa stay overnight at lodge.
Day 09: Trek to Payu (2795m) - 06 hrs.
After breakfast trek to payu it takes around 6-7 hours mostly uphill and wild thick forest into bamboo and Oak Forest, we are nearly reaching the lukla which is famous airport in the world. Not much villages just several stream water and wooden bridge cross to reach Payu. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 10: Trek to Phakding (2670m) 6 hour
After breakfast huge downhill to surkhe and following dudhkosi river, when we walk several hour and we can Lukla airport very busy those trekkers has short holyday travel in Nepal. most pass some of suspension bridge and some stream. When we reach in Chhuplung there is junction lukla and jiri separate trail. Then we will enter busy routes following the same trekkers as we those start from Lukla to EBC. Continue to walk phakding and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 11: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 - 6 hours
After breakfast trek to Namche, beautiful Sherpa village passing on the and some suspensions bridges following the dudhkoshi river; when we reach at double high suspensions bridge if weather is perfect we will see some himalayan thamserku, Tabuche peak, kwande peak and some others peaks. After that bride continue couple hour uphill to reach at Namche. The namche is biggest Himalayan Sherpa village or City of Nepal. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 12: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)
After breakfast start hike up to Everest View point and Sherpa Museum, from Namche to Everest view point takes an hour hike and will see many of Peaks as Mt. Everest (8848m) Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Tabuche, Thamserku, Kwande peak and other trekking peaks as well. After viewing visit to Admon Hillary builded by khumjung high school and take lunch in Khumjung slowly return to Namche. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours
After breakfast trek to Tenboche, the trail is most busy by local porters, trekkers and load carrying domestic Yaks those are usual up and down. Because porters and yaks are transport Everest base via Gokyo valley, spectacular scenery of khumbu region couple hour flat and down to Dudhkoshi River cross the bridge and tough trail to reach at Tenboche several hour uphill from fungi tenga. When we reach at tenboche we will visit to monastery, the monastery is very old and biggest monastery in khubu region stay overnight at lodge.
Day 14: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 - 6 hours
After breakfast trek to dingboche it takes 5-6 hours following main everest base camp trail and pass to several Sherpa villages and suspensions bridges. We can see many of mountains from on the trail and slowly forward to Dingboche stay overnight at lodge.
Day 15: Dingboche: Acclimatization
Today Acclimatization day at Dingboche just hike up couple hour take photo graph and return to same lodge. Exploring day visit to Dingboche Village and enjoy with Himalayan scenery stay overnight at lodge.
Day 16: Dinboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 4km, 2 - 4 hours
After breakfast trek to Lobuche take about 5-6 hour, the scenery is most beautiful and slowly to flowing the others trekkers because we already entered high altitude, the most important thing is Acute mountain sickness will get on after 4000m above the sea level. Therefore we have together on the way and help each other encase if anything happens. Before thukla the trail is normal and after that continues uphill to reach at Lobuche and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 17: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 9-10 hours
Early morning take cup of tea or coffee and continue to Gorakshep take accommodation and breakfast. If walking speed is normal we must take some day pack lunch to EBC. Because gorakshep to Everest base camp is 5-6 hour up and down, the trails most rocky and tough day but when we reach at EBC our main target is complete what you wish or your propose achieve your adventure top of the world; After that return to same way and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 18: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours
Early morning depend on weather or depend on season hike up to Kalapathar peak which is highest peak Everest Base Camp Trek, the elevation of (5545m.) Panoramic View round area and sunrise as well but very cold cannot sit long time very strong windy take lots of pictures or video how much longer stay depend on trekkers. Then return to Gorakhep take breakfast and continue to Phiriche stay overnight at lodge.
Day 19: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 - 7 hours
After breakfast trek to Namche, we will following same way and most care self because lots of traffic porters, yaks and Trekkers. It takes 6-7 hours from Phireche to Namche if interest visit to City otherwise stay overnight at lodge.
Day 20: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours
After breakfast continue to Lukla same way following until lukla and celebrate with our team to say good bye to all porters or staff and preparation flight to Next day to Kathmandu and stay overnight at lodge.
Day 21: Fly to Kathmandu 30 minute
Depend of flight schedule if late flight take breakfast and little walk to airport otherwise must leave earlier from lodge. It takes 30 minutes journey. And Explore day in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 22: Final International Departure
Transfer from hotel to International airport you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal and happy journey.
